On 29 May 2026, within the framework of the European Union Erasmus+ project «SAFE LEARN: Supporting Adaptive and Flexible Education for War-Affected Students in Ukraine» (101236049 — SAFE LEARN — ERASMUS-EDU-2025-CBHE), the fourth training session titled “Innovative Teaching Methods in Extreme Conditions: Microlearning in Times of Uncertainty” was held at Kamianets-Podilskyi Ivan Ohiienko National University. The session was aimed at preparing facilitators for further implementation of the project.

The event took place at the Youth Center of Kamianets-Podilskyi. The training was delivered by members of the project working group: Yuliia Danchuk, PhD in Psychology, Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Department of General and Practical Psychology, and Oksana Lohvina, PhD in Psychology, Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Department of General and Practical Psychology.

During the training, participants were introduced to modern approaches to organizing the educational process in conditions of chronic stress, uncertainty, and cognitive overload among students. Particular attention was paid to the principles of microlearning as a tool for improving the accessibility, clarity, and effectiveness of educational content.

The practical part of the session focused on developing skills in designing learning materials based on the “small steps” approach. Participants learned to structure complex content into short meaningful units, apply attention-activation techniques, and design learning activities that take into account cognitive functioning under stress.
