From January 12 to 15, the Head of the Office for International Cooperation, Associate Professor Tetiana Storchova, took part in the activities of the kick-off meeting of the EU Erasmus+ project Supporting Adaptive and Flexible Education for War-Affected Ukraine Students, 101236049 – SAFE LEARN – ERASMUS – EDU – 2025 – CBHE, held at Mykolas Romeris University (Lithuania).
SAFE LEARN is an international project aimed at implementing the Trauma-Sensitive Teaching (TST) methodology to support students affected by the war.
Representatives of Ukrainian universities presented the results of a survey entitled EXPERIENCE AND NEEDS OF STUDENTS AND ACADEMIC STAFF AT UKRAINIAN UNIVERSITIES DURING WARTIME, which will form the basis for further steps by the project teams. Participants also explored the experience of European universities, which will be used to develop the project methodology and an online resource centre.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all 512 participants of our community survey for their responses in the google form: https://inter.kpnu.edu.ua/uk/2025/12/15/zaproshuiemo-spilnotu-k-pnu-proity-opytuvannia-v-mezhakh-proiektu-prohramy-ies-erazmus-safe-learn-erasmus-edu-2025-cbhe-dosvid-i-potreby-studentiv-ta-vykladachiv-universytetiv-ukrainy-v-umovakh-viiny/
The Resilient Teaching training program (January 26, 2026 – February 13, 2026) will start very soon. Associate Professor of the Department of General and Practical Psychology Nataliia Didyk will serve as a trainer for two sessions:
1) Teachers’ psychological resilience: selfmanagement strategies in times of crisis;
2) Pedagogical Escape Room: solving crisis tasks.
The project is ongoing, and much important collaborative work still lies ahead. Its mission is to support Ukrainian students and teachers in the challenging conditions of war, strengthen their resilience, and introduce modern European approaches to adaptive education.
Together, we are building an education system that supports, inspires, and provides support in the most difficult times.
